1. Check that both batteries have the same voltage
2. Connect the positive booster cable to the positive terminal of the discharged battery
3. Connect the other extreme of the positive booster cable to the discharged battery
4. Connect the negative booster cable to the negative terminal of the charged battery
5. Connect the other extreme of the negative booster cable to the engine block, frame or a piece of grounded metal
(nut, bolt or other shiny metal) of the disabled vehicle
6. Start the working car and let it idle for a few minutes to charge the battery of the disabled car
7. Start the disabled car
8. Remove cables in reverse order of connections
